Cape Fear Cornhole League
Welcome to the week 2 of the Summer 2013 season. Sorry for the delay. Father’s Day got the best of me. We had some great games this past week. Congrats to all the winners. A couple of things I feel like I need to bring up…
1) I hope have all the teams corrected now. If they are still wrong, please let me know.
2) If you have an asterisk beside your name, it means you still owe money. With this weeks games, if you still owe money and money is not in my hand (Wednesday players) or Alli’s hand (Thursday players), your team will get an automatic L. If I have you as owing, and it’s a mistake, please let me know. And if I have you as paid, and you still owe money, do the right thing and let me know.
3) Multiple players on one team are allowed. However, once the first game starts, the switching out of players is not allowed. This is not baseball; there are no relief players. Any violation of this will result in a loss.
- First two games are a race to 21 points. If tied after 2 games, 3rd game goes to 21 on the dot.
- A bag on the board = 1 point. A bag in the hole = 3 points. Bags cancel each other out.
- Skunk rule in effect @ 11 points. Please notify bartender if you skunk a team so you can get your bonus point(s).
- 1 forfeit allowed per season. 2nd forfeit will get you removed from the league. If you can not make your game, let us know so we can find you a sub. Letting us know 15 minutes before game time is not acceptable. SUBS ARE AVAILABLE!!
- Games start at the time listed. If you are running behind, please call the bar and let the bartender know. If we do not here from you, 15 minutes after the start time of the first game, the first game will be forfeited. 15 minutes after the first game has been forfeited, the second game gets forfeited.
- In the case of inclement weather, I will send out a message via text and on Facebook notifying the league of the cancellation. If you have any questions regarding the weather downtown, please feel free to call the bar.
- 10 game regular season. A win gets you 3 points. A loss gets you a 1 point. A forfeit gets you -5 points. A skunk gets you an additional bonus point.
- 11th week is tournament. NCAA style single elimination. Team with most points at the end of the regular season gets #1 seed. Winner of tournament gets the cash pot (minus money for bags and plaque plates).
- Tournament is a single elimination, NCAA seeded style tournament. One game; 21 on the dot. Survive and advance; lose and go home.
